Level II Communications Technician
Lafayette, La
Reporting to the Pool Technician Supervisor, the Level II Communications Technician responsibilities include installation, performance testing of microwave and satellite communications, repair of microwave and satellite communications systems, and installation of Network equipment and Cat 5 cabling.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, as well as a certificate from a 2-year technical/vocational school or equivalent related military training. A minimum of 2 years experience in satellite or microwave communications is essential. Experience in the oil and gas field a plus. Candidates need to have the desire to excel, be a self-starter, be a self motivator, possess a sense of urgency, and have the ability to work with others in high stress conditions.
