Stratos Signs Strategic Alliance with SeaMobile For GSM and CDMA Services
BETHESDA, MD (Nov. 15, 2006) - Stratos Global Corp. (TSX: SGB), a leading global communications provider, today announced that it has signed a strategic alliance agreement with SeaMobile Enterprises, a leading provider of global VSAT broadband, wireless voice and data services. The agreement will enable Stratos to deliver GSM and CDMA wireless voice and data to the U.S. government and military markets.
By combining state-of-the-art technology and services, the two companies will work together to make it possible for wireless users, who are located at sea or in remote locations, to easily stay in touch with their families, friends and business colleagues through the use of their personal cell phones. As part of the new agreement, Stratos and SeaMobile will collaborate on proposals and contracts for VSAT and cellular communications services for the U.S. government and military.
