Stratos Announces CFO Change

BETHESDA, MD (September 17, 2007) - Stratos Global Corp. (TSX: SGB) today announced that the Stratos Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Alfred C. Giammarino as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective as of September 24, 2007. Mr. Giammarino has decided to leave the Company to pursue other interests.

"Al has been a strong contributor to Stratos and we thank him for his years of valuable service," said Jim Parm, President and Chief Executive Officer of Stratos. Mr. Parm added, "We remain on track with respect to our arrangement transaction with CIP Canada Investment, Inc., with an expected closing in the fourth quarter of this year, and we look forward to the transition from a publicly traded corporation to a private company following the consummation of the transaction."

The Company announced that Paula M. Sturge, FCA, currently Stratos Senior Vice President, Finance, has been appointed to the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective September 24, 2007. Paula has been responsible for the finance, accounting and taxation functions within Stratos for the past seven and a half years. Paula joined Stratos in April, 2000 and brought with her 16 years of public accounting experience from her previous employment with a major international accounting firm.

Mr. Parm stated, "I am very pleased with the Board's appointment of Paula. She brings a wealth of experience to the position and has a thorough understanding of our business and industry."
