Stratos Announces Final Regulatory Approval for CIP Arrangement
BETHESDA, MD (December 10, 2007) - Stratos Global Corp. (TSX:SGB) today announced that it has obtained the final regulatory approval required to consummate the arrangement transaction with CIP Canada Investment, Inc. (CIP). The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued its order approving the transfer of control of licenses from Stratos to an irrevocable trust for which CIP is the sole beneficiary. Stratos shareholders previously approved the arrangement transaction with CIP at a shareholders meeting held on June 12, 2007. Stratos expects to complete the arrangement transaction with CIP in the next five business days.
