Stratos Expands Presence in Dubai with Move to New Office Complex in Internet City
--New office in Al Shatha Tower supports customers in maritime communications and other key markets--
BETHESDA, MD (January 5, 2007) - Stratos Global Corp. (TSX: SGB), a leading global communications provider, today announced it has expanded its business operations in Dubai by relocating its office to the new Al Shatha Tower in Internet City. Dubai has become one of the Middle East's largest enterprise zones.
As a result of its acquisition of Xantic B.V. in 2006, Stratos became officially recognized by the Dubai Department of Commerce and was granted a visa to operate business in Dubai. Prior to the acquisition, Xantic had been successfully operating in Dubai for eight years under foreign sponsorship.
