Stratos Provides Update on Proxy Solicitation
- Proxy Advisory Services Firms Recommend Approval of Plan of Arrangement with CIP Canada Investment Inc. -
BETHESDA, MD (June 1, 2007) - Stratos Global Corp. (TSX: SGB), the leading provider of advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions, today announced that both Institutional Shareholder Services Canada Corp. and Glass Lewis & Co., independent proxy advisory services firms, have issued reports recommending that Stratos shareholders vote in favor of the proposed plan of arrangement with CIP Canada Investment Inc.
As previously reported, the Corporation's notice of annual and special meeting and management proxy circular was mailed to all shareholders of record as of May 1, 2007. The annual and special shareholders meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on June 12, 2007 at the Renaissance Toronto Hotel Downtown.
