R-BGAN from Stratos
Regional BGAN from Stratos is an extremely portable, robust, cost reducing, easy to use, high-speed Data service via satellite. You simply connect the terminal to your PC or PDA, point the antenna in the direction of the satellite and go about your business as usual.
R-BGAN offers IP Connectivity across 144 kbit/s shared channels, giving you the freedom and flexibility to access business information as and when you need it. Whether you are reporting from a developing country, traveling on business, working on a construction site in a remote area, or embarking on an exotic holiday beyond the reach of traditional wireless service, Stratos R-BGAN keeps you connected. R-BGAN is an IP-based data service so you pay only for the amount of data sent and received, not for the length of time you are logged on.

Stratos Value-Added Services
In order to deliver value-added services over Regional BGAN, Stratos built its own Access Control Point in its Land Earth Station. Thanks to the implementation of this infrastructure, our Regional BGAN customers can have access to a number of extra services such as:
- Stratos Credit Control Tool: an online application that allows you to easily monitor and/or manage the usage of your customers. You can specify the balance and alert thresholds for both individual cards and even for groups (e.g. per end customer). Cards can be suspended or reactivated automatically, eliminating unnecessary financial risk. The tool also allows you to easily create personalized pre-paid solutions.
- Stratos Online Customized Firewall Management: you can specify what (Internet) traffic or applications are allowed by the end user or should be blocked. The benefits in terms of virus and hacker protection as well as unwanted satellite traffic are obvious.
- Stratos Traffic and Billing Explorer (TaB): this application gives you an update on your client's usage every 24 hours. You can even use this application for (re) billing purposes.
- AmosConnect from Stratos : a compressed e-mail application offering great cost savings.
- Stratos Easy Accelerator : an application offering reduced Internet browsing costs
- Public IP Range: to support all types of VPN access.
